  • ensure anti-freeze is good for -35 to -40 Celsius
  • Make sure your motor oil is the proper weight (10-30 or 5-20 weight)
  • Test the battery
  • Clean the battery terminals
  • Check the charging system
  • Test the block heater is working
  • If extremely cold consider using a battery warmer
  • For fuel injected vehicles don't pump the gas pedal
  • Do not crank the engine for more than 30 seconds and then give it a minute to recover
  • Boosting: on the newer cars you need to READ THE MANUAL.
  • If you have a cell phone, keep it charged in case you need to call us

DO NOT attempt to pull you're vehicle home with a rope or chain. First off it's illegal. Secondly you may damage your transmission. Also you have very little control over a vechile that's not running and your insurance will not pay in the event of an accident.
